Thinking of Volunteering?

The After School Mentoring (ASM) program uses reading as a tool to assist in improving literacy skills, facilitate an early, positive connection to learning, develop children's social skills and foster positive self-esteem for kids aged 6-16.

ASM provides a quiet place for children to complete assignments, strengthen reading abilities, receive homework assistance, learn organizational skills, develop study habits and build social skills through making crafts and other activities.  A healthy snack is also provided during the program.

The program is delivered during the school year in partnership with the Barrie Municipal Non-Profit Housing Corporation.
