Big Brothers & Big Sisters Traditional Program

Little Brothers and Little Sisters are between the ages of 6 and 17 and live in single parent homes.  They are resourceful, responsive and would love to spend time with an adult who shares their interests.  Parents/guardians contact the office and meet with one of the Mentoring Coordinators for an orientation and to learn more about our application process.

In School Mentoring

Big Brothers Big Sisters is partnered with several schools within the district.  School personnel are approached when a mentor is available to be matched in their school.  They select a special young boy or girl who could benefit from a friendship with a Mentor at the school.  Parents/Guardians are then approached by the school for permission to have their child involved in this program.

After School Mentoring

Children who attend the After School Group Mentoring Programs are in Elementary School.  They can be registered for Homework Club and/or Reading Circles if they live in our partnered housing sites.  Parents may contact the office for an orientation.

Contact Big Brothers Big Sisters of Barrie & District for more information on getting your child involved.  Call (705) 728-0515 or e-mail us.
