Want to Become a Big Sister?

The first step for all new volunteers is to attend a 30 minute information session. You will get an overview of the volunteer opportunities and the expectations of a Big Sister. Please contact Rebecca Haugen, Mentoring Coordinator, at 525-2141 ext.123 to set up a time that works for you.

What are the steps to becoming a Big Sister?

1. Attend a volunteer information session at the YWCA Regina. Please contact program staff to set up an appointment that is convenient for you. You'll find out about being a Big Sister and other volunteer opportunities within the program.

2. Fill out the volunteer application form. Make sure your reference information is complete.

3.     Send it to:

4. Expect a call to arrange a volunteer interview with one of our Mentoring Coordinators.

5. Once you successfully complete all of the enrollment procedures, our staff will take care to match you with a Little Sister or Brother who shares your interests.

6. You’ll be on your way to a rewarding and fun friendship!
