City of Regina has invited girls from YWCA programs to participate in a softball clinic and fun game!

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, August 8th       Location: Central Park (2231 Scarth Street.)  Time: 1-4:00 PM.  Softball clinic begins at 2:30

This event has been created to commemorate the legendary baseball player Mary “Bonnie” Baker to highlight the role of women in sports and the historical importance of baseball in Regina, Saskatchewan. More information about this remarkable woman can be found at:  https://www.regina.ca/visitors/heritage-history/historical-biographies/biography-baker/  or by watching the hit movie “A League of Their Own.”  

At the commencement of this event, there will be an official unveiling ceremony of a memorial garden and wall mural.

Participants are asked to dress appropriately for the weather/activity. Sunscreen, etc. Water and ball equipment (gloves/bats, etc.) provided for the day.
