Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cold Lake has been creating friendships since 1983. We started out matching Big Brothers with Little Brothers and have grown to include a variety of different programs that serve both boys and girls. We offer the Couples for Kids program which is designed for couples to be matched up with a child that is part of our membership within our agency.

In 2000, we implemented the In-School Mentoring Program and it has been a rewarding and successful initiatve currently ran in 5 local schools.

We are VERY proud to announce that Grand Centre Elementary School has agreed to be a partner in our newest program that we are offering to our teens,the Teen Mentoring Program. This program is designed to allow screened High School teens in grades 10-12 to spend one hour per week with an elementary school child at GCES.

We are proud of our achievements and continue to strive to be on the leading edge of the Big Brothers Big Sisters movement in Canada.

We are also in the process of implementing the "Friend for a Day" Program whereas a "little" on our wait list may be able to go out on an outing with a "Screened Big" for an afternoon visit or outing. For more information on this great new initiative, please call our office at 639-4170
