Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cranbrook

THIS IS A SCHOOL BASED GROUP MENTORING PROGRAM designed to encourage physical activity, healthy eating and the development of a positive self-image among girls ages 11 to 14. Thanks to Funding from the Leon & Thea Koerner Foundation Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cranbrook can offer this program for the school 2009/2010 term.

Group sessions are led by volunteer adult female mentors with a ratio of one adult mentor to every 4 adolescent girls in the group. The group meets for one and a half hours for a minimum of seven consecutive weeks at school. January through March 2009 there was one group at Laurie School and two groups at Parkland Middle School. Ask your school counselor about the Go Girls' groups starting again in the fall of 2009!

IF YOU'RE A WOMAN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 19 AND 35 THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO IMPART YOUR WISDOM AND HAVE FUN!
