In 2006 Shaw Communications Inc. provided in-kind media support for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada with free Public Service Announcement rotation of the “One Big Reason” television commercial. Since beginning to air the PSA in May the rotation has climbed to more than 12,000 spots in just 5 months. This is a media value exceeding $25,000 that has had tremendous impact on volunteer recruitment in western Canada.
