All I want for Christmas is…SOCKS!

Seriously, I really like socks. I will wear a nice pair of socks until all the elastic is gone or until my toes start sticking out the end. Last year, my kids got me a few of the coolest pairs of socks for Christmas. This year, I’m hoping for more of the same. Nothing else under the tree for me, please. #Greatestgift

Forty Youths join MPs on Parliament Hill to Job Shadow

Big Brothers Big Sisters is thrilled to host youths from all over Canada to participate in the second annual YOUth in Office: JOB SHADOWING DAY ON PARLIAMENT HILL on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Forty young people aged 14 to 24 will get a chance to learn about career opportunities from Members of Parliament (MPs) and Hill staffers. The youth and MPs will spend the day together as part of a joint initiative to inspire young people about the working world and some of the job options associated with politics and government in Canada and to educate MPs about the value and benefits of mentoring in our communities.
