Manulife Supports Recruitment Efforts Across Canada

October 15, 2015

Thanks to the support of Manulife, a number of Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across Canada will be launching volunteer recruitment campaigns this year in an effort to encourage people to Start Something by becoming a mentor to a child or youth.

At Big Brothers Big Sisters, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential - both as individuals and citizens - and that by doing so, they will not only do well, they will also do good.

This generous sponsorship support will help enrich the lives of more of Canada's youth by matching them with a caring, positive role model.

“Contributing to the health and vitality of our communities is important to Manulife. Our support of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentor recruitment efforts allows us to empower Canadian youth and help them be the best they can be” says Martha Hancock, AVP, Philanthropy & Sponsorships, Manulife.

"We are thankful to have the support of Manulife for this campaign." says Joel Porter, National Vice-President of Development of Big Brothers Big Sisters. "The campaign provides Big Brothers Big Sisters with a way to further build public awareness of the need for volunteers and of the many rewarding benefits that come with mentoring a young person."

Watch for campaigns in your local community - and please consider volunteering as a mentor!
