Archer hopes to influence and motivate the youth to achieve their true potential. Archer believes she has benefited greatly from the influence of accomplished mentors within her life and today she uses what she has learned in her role as a motivational speaker.
“Life is full of challenges. I’ve experienced many unique occasions within my life’s journey and value the lessons of these events. I am blessed to have many caring people guide, push and inspire me beyond my limits; motivating me to reach my goals “on the track” and “in the business world”. I welcome the opportunity to share my story and inspire others to strive towards their true potential.” Says Tania Archer.
Through the encouragement of her older sister, an accomplished distance runner, Tania’s talent for sprinting ignited. Long before her Collegiate and Olympic trial successes, Tania achieved many local, regional and national accreditations, including ranking 6th in 1992 on a national poll featuring young and upcoming athletes across all sporting disciplines.
When Tania graduated from high school, she was heavily recruited by many prominent Canadian and U.S. universities. She decided to accept a Track and Field scholarship to the reputable University of Alabama.
In additional to her athletic, corporate and media accomplishments, Tania believes in sharing her success through contributing to social causes and organizations close to her heart.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is thrilled that Tania will be sharing her story at this year’s Youth Summit 2013!
