Because a Change of Shoes Can Change a Life. 2012 Dates
Brant/Brantford: Friday, March 23rd-Sunday, March 25thHaldimand/Norfolk: Friday, March 30th- Sunday, April 1st The primary way that revenue is generated from BFKS is by individuals who solicit pledges from their circle of contacts to support their bowling games at a Big Brothers Big Sisters Event. These contacts can be our "Bigs", their friends and families, donors, parents of "Littles", vendors, contractors, business associates, or school teachers. In addition corporate/business/service clubs sponsors provide cash and in kind contributions to underwrite event costs. This is our biggest fund-raising campaign of the year. In 2011, we raised over $85,000 through the combined efforts of individual donors and corporate sponsorship. This campaign reaches 600 participants (each of whom spreads our message to an average of 10 personal contacts when seeking pledges) and over 50 businesses who contribute cash sponsorship or a combination of cash and in-kind sponsorship. To find out how you can become involved, call our office at (519) 426-3121.
