Little brothers are young boys, generally between the ages of 5 and 12, who could really use a friend like you. Most of them come from single parent families.

Making the match between a Big and Little Brother is a very important part of this friendship process.  All prospective volunteers are carefully interviewed, and a thorough inquiry is done to ensure that they are reliable, caring adults.  We get to know the Little's and the Big's likes and dislikes, interests, and personalities.

After the successful match is made, a caseworker at Big Brothers will stay in touch to provide any help they can while Big and Little establish their friendship.  In just a few hours a week, for a minimum of one year, you may create a friendship that lasts a lifetime! And the rewards are something that money can't buy.  A smile, a laugh, a fun afternoon in the park - all because you chose to become a friend.  Studies have shown that a Big Brother can increase a Little Brother's chance of doing well in school.  That's something you can both take pride in.  You, see, being a Big Brother is simply about being a friend to a Little Brother.  It's about laughing, playing, dreaming and just plain old being there when he needs a helping hand.

AND WHO IS THAT BIG BROTHER? Why it's you and any other male, from any walk of life, married, single, retired, with or without children, who has a few hours a weeks to volunteer his time.

We currently have a waiting list of 12 boys.  A typical Little Brother will wait up to three years to be matched to a Big Brother.  Please help shorten the wait, Volunteer Now!
