What are the steps to becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister?

  1. Complete the application form.  Applications may be picked up at the main office (located in downtown Innisfail, above the Gift Loft store), in Caroline at Neighbourhood Place, or mailed out on request. 
  2. Send it to:

  3. We will mail out reference forms and self-addressed envelopes to the reference names and addresses you provide.
  4. We will call you to arrange an interview with one of our Caseworkers
  5. Complete a police check at your local RCMP detachment and bring the documentation with you when you come for an interview
  6. You will be given training in Child Safety and self-esteem building in children.
  7. Once you are accepted as a volunteer mentor, our staff will take care to match you with a child who shares your interests.
  8. You’ll be on your way to a rewarding and fun friendship!
