Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge & District would like to thank the following organizations and individuals for their generous donations:

2011

The Canadian Tire Foundation for Families for their ongoing support through the Jumpstart program that allows littles to participate in sporting events.

Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd.for their continued support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Kids 'N' Kops camp program.

Alberta Blue Cross Community Investment Program for their donation in July on behalf of their employee Jessica McGale.  More then 800 of Alberta Blue Cross employees participated in this program, directing donations to hundreds of diverse causes across Alberta.

Marble Slab Creamery-For their Canada wide fundraising event with proceeds going to local agencies.  This year's event ran from August 26th to September 5. During this time span employees in the Lethbridge stores  asked customers to donate $1.00 to Big Brothers Big Sisters.  On August 27th Marble Slab Creamery donated $1.00 for each cone sold. The Lethbridge Marble Slab Creamery stores raised $1740.00 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge. Lethbridge's westside store raised the 2nd largest amount nationally.

H & R Transport Lethbridge for their donation of $300.00 in July to support  Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge.

The Telus Team for their $200.00 donation in June.  The ongoing generosity and compassion demonstrated by the Telus Team is truly inspirational.  Since 2000, TELUS, their 39,000 team members, retirees and Community Boards have contributed $245 million to charitable organizations across Canada.

  Sport Chek - for their donation of $5000.00 to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge.


Kawneer Social Club  for their donation of $234.00

Motor Dealers' Association of Alberta for their donation of $500.00 in October made possible through their MDA Benevolent Society. Contributions to the Society are made by franchised new vehicle dealers in the community.

John Gogo Trust Fund - Again this year Mr. Gogo has donated $200.00 to assist Big Brothers Big Sisters in making matches for the boys and girls of Lethbridge.  Thank you Mr. Gogo for your continued support of our programs.

  North & Company LLP - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge would like to thank the employees of North & Company for their donation of $315.00 from their Demin for Dollars program wherein the staff donate monthly to a charity of their choice to be able to wear jeans on Fridays.

U of L Musical Theater Society - for their donation of $481.00.

Canadian Western Bank - for their donation of $9,153.02 from their Greater Interest GIC campaign.  Thanks to the hard work of CWB and it's staff $216,246.30 was donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters across Western Canada to help kids in our communities.

Lethbridge School District #51 for their financial support with the Teen Mentoring program.  A total of $5000.00 will be donated this school year to help cover the costs of this program.
