to become their Big Brother or Big Sister

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada estimates that out of 6 million children in Canada, 1 million are at risk of falling behind, of being overlooked or never making anything of themselves.   What if every child was set on the right path? Wouldn’t that start something Big?  

In anticipation of our 100^th anniversary in 2013, agencies across Canada are gearing up to make it easier than ever to volunteer and learn more about the positive impact mentoring can make in the life of a child.

Finding a meaningful friendship is not as tough as you might imagine and more rewarding than you ever thought possible. The first step to becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister is just a mouse click away. For the mentors, it’s an enjoyable and meaningful opportunity to make a profound difference in the life of a child.

For the child it’s a chance to make a new friend and spend a little time with an adult who can open a whole new world of experiences.

While we always need volunteers we really encourage volunteers to become mentors in September.
