Big Sisters
Every girl needs a Big Sister to share with, talk to or confide in. Whether it's playing sports, learning a new craft or just goofing around, you'll make a big difference in each other's life. You'll both be forever changed by the experience. Note: Due to the high number of young males waiting for a mentor, we support and encourage cross-gender matching (adult female with young male).
Who are our Big Sisters?
- Kind, caring people from all walks of life (must be 19 years of age or older)
- People who want to share their time with a young person in the community
- Able to commit to one year with the program.
Who are our Little Sisters?
- Children and youth between the ages of 6-16 wanting for a mentor
- Young people living either with a single parent or with another relative or guardian
Commitment
- Minimum 1 hour per week, for at least a one year commitment
Location
- Activities take place in the community
