It's a small commitment that makes a big difference.  Become a mentor to a young person in a school environment and help build their self-esteem and school performance all while having a lot of fun.  One hour a week is all it takes to make a difference in the life of a young person.

• Kind, caring people from all walks of likeable to share one hour a week with a young person
• People who want to share their time with a child

Who are our Little Brothers and Little Sisters?

• Children and youth between the ages of 6-12 wanting a mentor

Commitment

• One hour a week for a minimum of one school year
• You can pick the day, time and partner school location where you would like to volunteer

In School Mentoring ... A Smart Choice for a Big Impact!

In 2002 survey*, In-School Mentors were asked about the level of impact they thought one hour a week was having on not only the youth's life, but on their own.  Here's what they had to say:

• 67% of Mentors had an improved attitude at work
• 90% of Mentors had a fresh perspective on life
• 80% of Mentors learned about children
• 80% of Mentors learned about themselves
• 89% of Mentors felt better about themselves
• 90% of Mentors felt they made progress with youth
• 87% of Mentors helped youth to improve self image
• 81% of Mentors said child was enthusiastic about mentoring
• 94% Of Mentors said the support they received at work to participate in the program made them proud to work at their company
• 100% of Mentors felt the program showed the company cares about the community
• 100% of Mentors felt social and educational programs can make a difference
