To increase service to children in the community, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Moncton, with the partnership of School District 2 and funding by United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick launched a second school based program in 2006.
The goal of the program is to establish a one-to-one relationship to improve language, integration and newcomer awareness to the community. The program is for children from other countries, who are new to our area.
Diversity In School Mentoring Is:
Mentor and mentee spend 1 hour per week together within the school to improve language, integration and newcomer awareness.
